Meet our new DCLC President!!

Meet Vanessa Lopez, the newly elected President of the DC Latino Caucus. Vanessa was the Advocacy Chair for this past year and served as the DC Democrats State Committee Member Representative in 2023. She has been an active community member and organizer since she moved to the area 8 years ago.

Since the federal takeover of DC, she has been partnering with community organizations to address neighbor’s fears and concerns. The militarization of DC has emboldened her to become even more involved with local community efforts to hold elected officials accountable, amplify Latino voices, and build solidarity among the Latino community here in DC.
